#24 Wannabe Slut Whore

It’s been a long time since I saw anyone in a Green Dress.  Also I believe I’ve never seen butt cheeks matched with a green balloon skirt. I want pistachio ice cream right now.

Wanna get DIRRRTY...

I also miss my hot french lady friend.  She’s one of the few girls I know who would remake Christina Aguilera’s DIRRRTY dance video with me. We’re both wannabe-slutwhores.

#23 Crime of Passion

Bleeding Love by you.

Bleeding Love

In the United States civil courts, a crime of passion is referred to as temporary insanity.

Isn’t this quite an interesting Get-Out-of-Jail Card?

#022 Arrest Me

Something is happening to me.  I’m getting addicted to contrast.  Cleaning up all the time, being obsessive and compulsive, yet watching violence and boxing and blood and gut spilling on TV.  Staying at home on weekends yet my playlist is filled with music either for mosh pit concerts or sweating it out in the club.   Listening to Orba Squara while sketching a beat up woman weeping.  I want to be good but I also want to be imprisoned, screaming and shouting, trying to break the bars.

How much will it cost to put myself behind bars?

“Spinning, my head is spinning, up around around!
down to the pub, up to the club!
my stomach’s turning, oh my body’s burning
our liquid lives, this is how we all survive!”

I wanna drink drink drink smoke fuck fight
I wanna shout, drink, scream, I wanna die!
I wanna be arrested, I wanna be molested
and i’ve damaged my brain, next weekend lets do it again!”

#021 Silent Scream

Scream by you.

Silence is the most powerful scream

Have you cried so hard that in between tears and sobs you let out a silent scream?  What about experiencing absolute joy and giggling so hard and yet feeling deep hard pauses in your heart?  It seems that it is never the boisterous laugh or the skrieking in pain that conveys the peak of our emotions.   When it is too loud, it falls silent.

#019 Taking the Leap

Taking the Leap by you.

Leap. Fly. Fall. Repeat.

I want to take the leap. I want to feel alive again.  We all should take more risks.  Fight.  Get injured.  Scream.  Really laugh out loud. Wear bright colours. Cut our hair really really short. Join the army. Play on the streets. Life at any point SHOULD NOT become a bore.

#018 Love is NOT an Emotion

Back in college, me and my friends refused to accept the words of Morgan Scott Peck, particularly those on LOVE.  We were young and yearning to be “in-love”, to feel all tingly and weak-on-the-knees, to feel butterflies in our stomach and then grab a net to catch some more in the meadow where they fly low!  When we read his words, our grand ideas of love were crumpled up and thrown in the basket.  NOOOOO! Love IS an emotion! Love IS a feeling!

Falling or Flying? by you.

Are we falling or flying?

Four years later me and my friends know better.  We’re still working on it but we know now how right he is.  Now that we’ve all stumbled upon conflicts and issues and “hard feelings”, it’s no longer just about attraction and the heydays anymore, persistence, understanding, patience, and many a virtue have become essential for the relationship to survive, or thrive and grow.

Love is not a fleeting emotion by you.

Love IS

“The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.”

M. Scott Peck

#017 In Her Shoes

If only we could live on really beautiful shoes.  Lie down on the sole.  A different heel, a different mood.  High-cut for the cold weather, strappy for the summer.  The smell of leather, the touch of metal.  Oh how I wish I could live in a shoe.

Oh to rest in one's shoe...

Hair-raising! by you.

oh the things i used to dream of...

I was supposed to draw something that was “uninspired”.  Somehow I ended up with this.  Funny, I don’t really miss all the materialism I used to love and work real hard for.

luxury is lost on many...

There are many books now about the DEATH OF FASHION or the idea of LUXURY FOR MASSES.  Many of them discussing the trend of luxury brands reaching a wider market by bombarding them with shameless advertising and promotion.  Many people have issues with this because they say as these high-end brands become common, they lose their essence.  For me, I feel sad because most people end up aspiring for the products for reasons beyond what the brands used to symbolize.  The proud history, the craftsmanship, the genius that is put into the design, the philosophy it represents, these are ignored because celebrities and the nouveau riche and other symbols of “a better life” do the selling.  And I cannot even begin to think about people spending money they do not have, to show how much they’re supposed to have.

#015 Animal Instinct

Animal Instinct by you.

Heels / Hooves

What do we really have in common with animals?  Yesterday I was wondering if animals really didn’t feel emotions.  I also pondered why people thought so.  Is it because most of them eat their own kind?  Or because their responses are limited to the survival needs?  Or because they can’t intentionally smile or laugh?

What does the difference make of us?

I have a friend who told me that bodies of people who commit suicide are now “allowed” by the Catholic Church to be blessed, contrary to its previous stand. They say it is because people who take their own life have gone beyond the normal state of thinking and are thus cosidered unable to make proper decisions.  Then what about those who commit murder? or rape?  Are they not sick enough to merit pardon and blessing from the Church upon their passing?  To rephrase, should they be qualified sick beyond capability to implement moral and ethical standards for their souls to be blessed as well?

Further, what is the relevance of  this holy act of “blessing” to a life taken improperly?  Is it for his or her soul? Or is it for US?
